How to Create Package Templates
With OneDeck, you can create new package templates and manage them effectively streamlining the process of adding recurring pricing packages with items to documents. This is particularly useful for businesses that frequently use similar packages across various document types, such as quotes, invoices, or work orders.

Navigate
Step 1: In the side navigation panel, click on the Settings option from the bottom-left corner of the interface.
Step 2: Select the Templates tab from the settings tab menu.
Step 3: Select the Package option from the Templates menu.
Create Package Template
Allows you to create a package template in OneDeck that serves to standardize the management of recurring packages, such as for products, or services, that are used across your records.
Step 1: Click on the + Add button to create a new one.
Step 2: A new window will appear, asking you to enter the following fields for defining a new package template:
Fields | Description |
Name | Specify the name of the package being created. |
Qty | Additional details about the package. |
Item | Select an existing item from the list of predefined item templates to include in the package. |
UOM | Dropdown (automatically filled based on the item selected). Indicates the unit of measure (e.g., Item, Hour, Month). |
Price | Numeric (auto-filled). Displays the cost of a single unit of the item. |
Total | Automatically calculates the total cost for the items based on the quantity (Qty × Price). |
Step 3: Once done, click on the Create button.
Manage Package Template
OneDeck provides the following options for managing package template effectively, including searching for the specific package, editing package details and deleting packages when not in use.
- Search Package
- Edit Package
- Delete Package
Search Package
Allows you to locate added packages quickly by utilizing the search functionality by entering the package to find the desired package efficiently.
Edit Package
Allows you to edit the package, click on the vertical ellipsis (three dots) and select the Edit option to update details such as:
- Name
- Description
- Qty
- Items
Once making the necessary changes, ensure to save the updates to apply them.
Delete Package
If the package is no longer needed, you can delete that package. Click on the vertical ellipsis (three dots) and select the Delete option.
After creating or editing a package template, you can add those packages to your document. Go to the Document builder, click the + Add package, and select the package from the Pricing section.
